Реферат: Laminated carbonaceous material was produced using an are discharge technique in a helium atmosphere of 800 Torr. Electron microscopy measurements showed that the sample consists of 80% multiwall carbon nanotubes, which are predominantly oriented in the layers. The electrical conductivity of the carbonaceous material was found to be anisotropic, being larger along the layers than perpendicular to them. X-ray fluorescence spectra of the synthesised sample were recorded at the different angles of the emitted radiation. They show clear angle dependence in the short-wave spectral region that is caused by the anisotropy of chemical bonding in the carbon nanotubes.
