Abstract: A kinetic model taking into account two types of active sites has been used for an analysis of factors influencing the rate of a catalytic reaction. It has been shown that the reaction rate can be significantly increased by performing the reaction with the “stop-effect” in a dual-reactor system due to the catalyst circulation between two reactors, one of which is purged with an inert gas.
