Abstract: A kinetic model for the interaction of toluene with a pre-oxidized vanadia/titania catalyst has been developed. The model is based on two types of oxygen sites and includes 5 steps. It describes satisfactorily the transient behavior of toluene and products (benzaldehyde, CO2) in the temperature range of 523-633 K.
