Abstract: Sulfated zirconia catalysts supported on silica gel and aluminum oxide were prepared by impregnation, and their structure and acidbase and catalytic properties were studied. The parameters of synthesis and characteristics of this catalyst, which ensure high activity and selectivity in liquid-phase alkylation of isobutane with butenes, were determined.
