Abstract: A method for the mathematical description of equilibria of complexing of H2PdCl4 with type A1 and A2 surface sites for the carbon supports “Sibunit”, PMÉ-800 carbon black, and PN active carbon was proposed. The apparent constants of formation of Pd(II) chloride complexes with these sites, K1 and K2, respectively, were calculated. It was shown that for nonoxide supports, constant K2, in contrast to K1, is strongly dependent on the type of support, while both constants increase with an increase in the concentration of chemisorbed oxygen for the oxidized samples.
