Abstract: Heteropoly acids (HPAs) are widely employed as homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts of various reactions owing to their high Br6nsted acidity. The present work was devoted to the study of the laws governing the dealkylation of 4-a!kyl-2,6-di-tert-butylphenols in the presence of HPAs in various solvents.
