Abstract: Hydrocarbons, their derivatives, oxidation products, etc. were determined by using a flame-ionization detector. The compounds were separated at 30-100° on graphitized thermal carbon black reinforced by pyrocarbon and modified by 0.5-0.8 weight% PEG 20M. Thermodn. data on the adsorption of many compounds at the stationary phase surface are given. The linear dynamic range of calibration curves for gases and volatile compounds was extended to lower concentrations by heating the flask for exponential dilution Gas chromatog. anal. of various industrial samples is reported (waste gases before and after catalytic combustion purification, gases in catalytic manufacturing of ethylene oxide).
