Abstract: Depending on the reaction conditions, MeCl can be converted on zeolites to C2-​C5 olefins or to aromatic hydrocarbons. First HCl is eliminated, then C2-​C5 olefins are formed, and the olefins are converted to alkanes and aromatic hydrocarbons.
