Abstract: The kinetic isotope method (14C) was used to study the reaction of profound oxidation of ethanol and n-propanol on CuO, CuO/gamma-Al2O3, and Pt/gamma-Al2O3 catalysts. The sequence of conversions of the intermediate substances and their role in the formation of carbon dioxide were established. A quantitative determination of the ratios of the individual steps in the reactions of complete and partial oxidation of alcohols was performed.
