Abstract: The oxidation kinetics of C6H6 and alkylbenzenes (iso-PrPh, α-methylstyrene (I), EtPh, and MePh) with O-contg. air on an Al-Cu-Cr oxide catalyst IKT-12-8 in a flow-through circulation system is described. The kinetic characteristics of alkylbenzenes are similar, whereas C6H6 is oxidized slower. In oxidation of a 2-hydrocarbon mixture, the best sorbable compound is oxidized first, with the oxidation order being I > iso-PrPh > EtPh > MePh > C6H6.
