Abstract: The distribution of the active component of aluminum-copper-chromium oxide catalysts over the granule, in the surface layer of the catalyst, and over the surface of the aluminum oxide support was investigated by x-ray microprobe, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and temperature-programmed desorption methods. It was shown that the distribution of the active component in the surface layer is usually uniform. The distribution over the granule can be different and is determined by the stage of preparation of the catalyst. After use of the catalyst in combustion of fuels, the character of the distribution of the active component changes in both the surface layer and over the granule of the support.
