Abstract: The patterns of formation of carbon from n-hexane on an alumino-platinum catalyst (1 Wt. % Pt/γ-A2O3) were studied by derivatography, electron microscopy, and x-ray phase analysis methods, and the reasons for its increased stability to coking on modification with tin were analyzed.
