Abstract: Starch-stabilized colloidal catalysts for water oxidation are synthesized on the basis of Co(III) hydroxy compounds. Their catalytic properties are found to be mostly affected by the starch concentration, the synthesis temperature, and the nature of the buffer solution in which the catalytic reaction proceeds. The reasons for such effects are, studied. The composition of the colloidal catalyst is proposed.
