Abstract: The effect of the trapped magnetic field on the current-carrying capability (CCC) of polycrystalline yttrium ceramics at 77.4 K was studied. When cooling YBa2Cu3O7−x ceramics to temperature T0 (87.4K < T0 < 89.5K) in the external magnetic field (Hext > 10 Oe) and further down to 77.4 K in the zero magnetic field, the critical current appeared to increase in the sample. The authors consider this phenomenon to be associated with the interaction of Josephson and Abricosov vortices and with the decrease of granular diamagnetic response.
