Abstract: For the case of tunneling recombination of radiation-induced centres it is shown that the postradiation thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) may result from the temperature dependence of the tunneling rate constant. A simple procedure is proposed to obtain this dependence from TSL data. The proposed procedure is tested for measuring the activation energies of the tunneling recombination of the F3+ and 3- centers in finely dispersed CaO and MgO and radiation defects in the irradiated polymers or glassy solutions.
