Abstract: Electrocatalytic oxidation of aniline to p-aminophenol by electrochemically activated molecular oxygen via the direct transfer of electrons from the cathode to a catalyst active center is enhanced in the presence of iron compounds on the electrode. Hydroxylation is carried out directly by the reduced oxygen on the catalyst active center without migration of active forms into the reactor volume.
