Abstract: Adsorption of O2 over Pt(111), (110) and (100) at 80 K has been studied by thermodesorption mass-spectrometry. The results indicate the formation of chemisorbed molecular oxygen species and the influence of the surface structure of platinum on the low-temperature adsorption of oxygen.
