Abstract: It has been established that at 573 K in oxidative media three different compounds of Pt with O2 are formed, differing in their reactivity towards hydrogen. Composition and oxidation degrees of Pt in these compounds have been determined. Changes in the composition of surface compounds have been examined at oxidation temperatures ranging from 293 to 823 K.
