Abstract: Properties of the composite catalysts made of nickel metal (Ni0) supported on metal-ceramics Al0/γ-Al2O3 have been examined. Non-additive elevation of the specific catalytic activity with increasing nickel concentration in samples is shown to be due to the occurrence of metallic nickel with increased surface electron density.
