Abstract: Carbon dioxide adsorption on silver surface containing adsorbed oxygen has been studied. A quantitative description for this equilibrium is suggested. It is shown that the reactivity of adsorbed oxygen layer formed under ethylene oxidation with respect to CO2 is close to the properties of oxygen adsorbed on a clean silver surface.
