Abstract: H3PW12O40 and H3PW12O40/SiO2 are efficient catalysts for esterification and acetalization of steroids (testosterone, 17 α-hydroxyprogesterone, 11, 21-diacetoxy-16α-hydroxyprednisolone) at 40–82 °C.
