Abstract: A mathematical model was proposed for the Claus process under phase transformations of S and changes of the catalyst activity as a result of the blocking of active centers by condensed S. Numerical modeling was used to study the unsteady-state processes in the catalyst bed during the introduction of the original mixt. at temperatures below the dew point of S and reversal of gas filtration direction.
