Abstract: The multiplicity of periodic gas-mixture reversal regimes is examined in a fixed catalyst layer for a single irreversible exothermic reaction in the case of partial switching of the flow direction in the laminar regime. The laminar-flow regimes are isolated by 1) constructing a surface of the states which describe the problem above the plane of control parameters and 2) examining the parametric behavior near to and far from Whitney attractors.
