Реферат: The no. of polyethylene (I) chain attachment points to titanium dichloride catalyst surface is only ∼1.5×10-4mole/mole or ∼0.4% of the Ti atoms on the catalyst. Such a small no. of these growth centers imposes a controlling factor on the polymerisation rate of ethylene . This result was obtained by the method of polymerisation inhibition with the 14C labeled carbon dioxide (Erwahov, Yu. 1.; Zakharov, V. A., 1972). It was noted that the reaction rate consts. and the chain transfer constants detected by the above method were much larger than the corresponding value detected by the classical viscometric procedures. The classical method was based on the deteremination of the wt.-av. mol. wt. which in the case of catalytic processes involving many secondary processes led to erroneous results.
