Abstract: Catalysts prepared from Sb2O4 and TiO2 were selective for acrylonitrile formation in the title process if the reaction mixture contained up to 2​% propene and 3​% NH3. If greater reactant concentrations were present, the selectivity decreased owing to partial reduction of the catalyst and deposition of products on its surface.
