Abstract: SUMMARY 1. A study was made of the effect of the temperature of reduction in the region of 250-550 ° on the activity and selectivity of a nickel-zeolite catalyst in hydro-cracking of n-octane. 2. The surface of hydrogenation of the metallic component enclosed in zeolite cavities is the principal factor in the rate and selectivity of hydrocracking of n-octane. 3. With a change in activities of individual components the rate and selectivity of hydro-cracking of paraffin and the type of limiting stage change.
