Abstract: In Russia, the first stationary supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) pilot plant for the oxidation of industrial wastes at an operating factory with a tubular flow reactor and a capacity of about 40 kg/h wastewater has been created on the basis of fundamental investigations. It allowed for the elimination of a mixture of nitroglycerin and diethylene glycol dinitrate in the wastewater with very high efficiency. Acetone was used as the fuel, and hydrogen peroxide or air was used as the oxidant.
