Abstract: Activation of pyrollylaldiminato titanium complexes (N−N)2TiCl2 and of heteroligated (N−N)(N−O)TiCl2 with 13C-MAO leads to outer-sphere ion pairs [L‘LTiMe(S)]+[MeMAO]-, which rapidly polymerize 13C2H4. The catalysts show significant differences in deactivation pathways.
