Реферат:
Nanocarbon-based additives in polymer composites can substantially improve their mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. Results of broadband dielectric spectroscopy of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and polyurethane (PU) hosts with embedded onion-like carbon (OLC) are presented. OLC have been produced via the large-scale production technology through the annealing of detonation nanodiamond under vacuum conditions (or in inert atmosphere). The structural relaxation has been investigated by varying the temperature between 240 and
460 K. The dielectric analysis demonstrates that frequency dependence of permittivity at a given temperature can, at certain conditions, be non-monotonous function of the OLC concentration. The beta transition in OLC/PMMA films has been observed to be practically independent on OLC concentration. It indicates that the included OLCs do not introduce any significant disturbance of the rotation degree of freedom of the ester groups along the polymer chains. In turn, it points out the weak interaction between OLC fillers and polymer molecules or, in other words, weak OLC affinity to the host PMMA matrix. That is why the real part of the dielectric permittivity of OLC/PMMA composites is determined mostly by the dielectric properties of the host. At the same time, the increase of OLC concentration has strong effect on the glass and melting temperatures in OLC/PMMA composites. Accordingly, the inclusion of OLC particles in the polymer matrix may result in a less ordered alignment of the polymer chains, with the concomitant effect that the chains translation and side group relaxation processes are affected. OLC also decrease glassy transition temperature in PU based composites. However, the melting temperature substantially increases by the OLC addittion in both investigated composite systems. It indicates that the thermal properties of polymers can be substantially improved by the OLC addition.
