Abstract: The influence of iron oxide content on the formation of microstructure, electronic state and catalytic properties of supported Pt/TiO2 catalysts in CO oxidation was investigated. It was found that the introduction of iron oxide leads to a significant increase in dispersion of platinum particles and change in platinum electronic state. The higher activity Pt, Fe/TiO2) catalyst compared to Pt/TiO2 at the similar platinum content due to decreasing of platinum particle size and increasing the platinum content in the electronic state of Ptδ+. The optimum chemical composition of the catalyst, which provides the highest activity in the studied reaction, was proposed.
