Abstract:
In the present work modeling of steam reformer tubes is performed for different shaped catalysts based on an original two dimensional pseudo homogeneous model. The model accounts for the following heat and mass transfer phenomena: heat transfer between the tube wall and catalyst bed, conductivity and diffusivity in the radial direction in
the packed bed and intraparticle diffusion.
