Data on the number of active centers (Cp) and propagation rate constants (Kp) have been obtained at ethylene polymerization over supported ZN catalysts with different composition by means of quenching of polymerization by radioactive carbon monoxyde (14 CO).
Data on the effect of catalysts particle size on the molecular mass and composition of copolymers, on the activity and calculated Kp values at ethylene polymerization over supported titanium-magnesium catalysts are presented. These data evidence on the possible effect of diffusion limitations. Data on the Cp and Kp values are presented for three types of supported catalysts with composition MXn/MgCl2+Al(i-Bu)3 (MXn = TiCl4, VOCL3, LFeCl2; L=bis(imino)pyridyl). Catalysts differ greatly by the effect of hydrogen on the activity and molecular mass of polyethylene produced.
