Abstract:
A basic information on the Tomsk Region of Siberia, its hydrocarbon resources, on the problems of their rational use and on the attempts, which have been made by the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of Russian Academy of Sciences (BIC) to overcome all obstacles in solving the common tasks. One of the possible directions was one-step co-processing of CH4 and C3-C4 paraffins into aromatic hydrocarbons. At converting a model reaction mixture (light gases + nitrogen, methane, etc.), the yield of aromatics increased considerably when using methane as an additional reagent. Experimental data on the processing of the real Myldzhino' natural gas and LPG mixtures over catalysts developed in BIC are presented and discussed.
