Abstract: Catalytic oxidn. of 1,1 dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) is studied in a catalytic fluidized bed. The compn. of reaction mixts. and dependencies of the reaction rate on the temp., space velocity, and UDMH concn. are detd. The expts. are conducted on the CuxMg1-xCr2O4/γ-Al2O3 catalyst (size 0.25-0.5 mm) that is developed for the catalytic combustion in the fluidized bed. A noticeable increase of conversion to CO2 begins at 200° and at > 300° practically complete UDMH oxidn. into CO2, H2O, and N2 is obsd. The temp. dependencies of concn. of UDMH oxidn. products over the CuxMg1-xCr2O4/γ-Al2O3 catalyst, temp. dependence of the UDMH oxidn. products concn. on the Ir/γ-Al2O3 and Si3N4 catalysts are presented graphically and analyzed. A pilot plant that is built for the destruction of UDMH in a fluidized bed is described. https://archive.org/stream/DTIC_ADA396885/DTIC_ADA396885_djvu.txt
