Abstract: Photocatalytic oxidation today is considered by many researches as the only universal technique of air purification which is contaminated with low concentrations of dangerous organic, inorganic and biological species. Synthesis of highly active photocatalyst is only one of the varieties of problems which should be solved when the photocatalytic purifiers are under development. Other problems concern additional filtering stages, light and air flow distribution, pressure drop, selection of materials for catalyst support etc. Modern approach for solving these problems as well as application results in the Russia and worldwide are the subject of current lecture.
