Abstract: Oxidation of N-isopropyl glyphosate with aqueous hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by Au nanoparticles supported on the quasi-graphitic mesoporous carbon materials proceeds efficiently with glyphosate (N-phosphonomethyl glycine) formation. Conditions for N-isopropyl glyphosate selective dealkylation yielding glyphosate with high conversion (100%) and selectivity (79.3%) were found. The catalyst selectivity to the N-phosphonomethyl glycine depends on the Au dispersion.
