Abstract:
Catalytic combustion of fuels in fluidized bed has many advantages in comparison with traditional ways of burning. The technology of combustion in a fluidized catalyst bed allows one to burn and dispose various wastes (sewage sludge, refinery waste). Currently, Cr-containing ShKZ-1 catalyst (CuCr2O4/Al2O3) is using for processes of fuel combustion in fluidized catalyst bed. The disadvantages of this catalyst are the low mechanical strength, the presence of chromium and the high cost. Spherical CuO-Fe2O3-Al2O3 catalyst for the combustion of coal in a fluidized bed was investigated in present work. Catalyst was obtained by the “oil-drop” method. It is shown that obtained catalyst is not inferior to commercial analogues in catalytic activity and mechanical strength.
