Abstract: Using a two-dimensional mathematical model and a number of simplifying assumptions, the analytical (linear) analysis of stability of the reaction–evaporation front inside the half-wetted porous catalyst slab was made. Based on the obtained spectral equation, the effect of different parameters on possible types of instability was studied.
