Abstract: A study was carried out on the nature and amount of the competitor in the joint adsorption with H2PtCl6 on the nature of the distribution of the platinum particles over pores of different size (microdistribution) in the reduced form of Pt/gamma-Al2O3 reforming catalysts. Upon the adsorption of H2PtCl6 on gamma-Al2O3 in the absence of competition, the metal is concentrated predominantly in large pores with R > 10 nm. The introduction of hydrochloric acid into the impregnation solution leads to levelling of the surface concentration of platinum in the meso pores and increases the amount of metal in the fine pores with R < 4 nm. The adsorption of platinum in the presence of oxalic acid leads to localization of the active component in a narrow range of pore size dependent on the amount of the competitor taken.
