Abstract: Acid-base properties of the Pt-Re catalysts supported on the initial and zirconium-modified alumina were studied. The introduction of 0.1 wt.% ZrO2 into the Pt-Re/Al2O3 catalyst was shown to increase the total concentration of Lewis acid sites (LAS) and concentration of the moderate strength sites. The catalytic properties of Pt-Re/Al2O3-yZrO2 systems were examined in dehydrocyclization of n-heptane. The optimal amount of zirconia for modification of the reforming catalyst was found to be 0.1-0.4 wt.%. © 2019 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
