Abstract: This work describes the preparation and characterization of porous aluminum oxide with polydimethylsiloxane/single wall carbon nanotubes (Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN) composition and their viability for biomedical applications. Al2O3/PDMS was modified by immobilization of Tuball in aqueous phase. The porous structure of Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN was investigated by sorption of nitrogen, and adsorption activity was assessed by the methylene blue and vitamin B12 by spectrophotometry. Effect of Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN on proliferation of mesenchymal stem cells and endothelial line cells EA.hy 926 was studied by MTT-Test, and nitrogen oxide production, and myeloperoxidase activity was done. It was shown that concentration of SWCN in Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN composition doesn't influence on the surface area and pore volume. Proliferation, nitrogen oxide production and myeloperoxidase activity of the human cells depend from type of obtained sample of Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN. Thus, the compositions of Al2O3/PDMS/SWCN have a sufficiently high sorption capacity and does not have a pronounced toxic effect on human mesenchymal stem and endothelial cells line EA.hy 926. © 2019 IEEE.
