Abstract: The general equations describing the effect of lateral interactions on diffusion of particles adsorbed or coadsorbed on a two-dimensional lattice were derived and published by the author of this Letter in the eighties. A. Tarasenko claims that those equations are ”wrong” and presents his own equations. I show that the latter equations are identical to the former ones, and accordingly Tarasenko's claim is invalid. Some other shortcomings of Tarasenko's reports are indicated and discussed. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd
