Abstract: The structural and redox study of functionally graded catalysts based on Ni(Ni+Ru)+CaTiO3 nanocomposite active component (bulk and supported on Mg-γAl2O3) prepared by citrate and Pechini routes has shown that unlike the citrate catalysts, the Pechini samples contain TiO2 along with CaTiO3 and metal Ni and Ru nanoparticles of high dispersion. The Pechini catalysts supported on Mg-γAl2O3 are the most active and stable in methane dry/oxydry reforming and ethanol steam reforming due to a high dispersion of metal nanoparticles activating methane or ethanol and strong metal-support interaction with formation of Me-OvTi3+ sites promoting oxidation of carbon deposits. The catalyst Ni+Ru+20%CaTiO3/Mg-Al2O3(Pechini) supported on structured substrates shows a high yield of synthesis gas and stable performance in MDR and ESR under real reaction mixtures during long-term tests.
