Abstract: For the first time, we report the results of direct reductive amination of aldehydes with nitroarenes over Ag/Al2O3 catalyst. Various secondary amines were obtained in yield up to 90% in a continuous flow reactor using molecular hydrogen as a reducing agent. Interestingly, the hydrogenation of reducible functional groups such as C=C, Cl and Br is almost absent in initial reactants and target products under the reaction conditions.
