Abstract: Two types of oxide catalysts for N2O abatement in nitric acid production for application in ammonia oxidation plant (high temperature catalyst) and SCR NO with NH3 plant (low temperature catalysts) were investigated in appropriate conditions. Honeycomb high temperature Fe2O3/Al2O3 catalyst placed after platinum gauzes have shown reduce N2O yield by ~80% in conditions of ammonia oxidation mid pressure plant. According modeling low temperature Cs/(Co,Ni)3O4 catalyst placed after V2O5/Al2O3 catalyst in conditions of SCR plant at 250 oC can reduce N2O yield by 95%.
