Abstract: The study presents an advanced approach to modification of the NiCu-SiO2 catalysts (PiculaTM family) by adding Mo- and P-containing agents prior to the sol-gel stage. The effect of modifying additives on activity and stability of the catalyst was investigated in the hydrotreatment of pyrolysis oil and its model compounds. Outstanding results were obtained showing significantly improved stability for modified catalyst.
