Abstract: Contemporary views about the photocatalytic oxidation of the vapor of organic substances on the surface of titanium oxide catalysts, leading to their deactivation, are summarized. The effect of external factors (humidity, concentration of the substrate vapor) on the deactivation of TiO2 during the oxidation of various types of organic substances and primarily aromatic and heteroatom substances is examined. Various methods of reactivation of titanium oxide catalysts are analyzed. Practical conclusions are reached about the use of TiO2 in the photooxidation of the vapor of aromatic and heteroatom organic substances and the working life of the photocatalysts.
