Abstract: For micro- and mesoporous systems "CaCl2 confined to silica gel" water sorption isobars, isosters and isotherms are obtained at temperature 293-423 K and vapor partial pressure 8-133 mbar. The water sorption is found to be a combination of solid sorption, liquid absorption and heterogeneous adsorption. Solidification/melting diagram shows a depression of the CaCl2 solution m.p. in confined state. The results obtained evidence considerable change of the system properties due to the salt confinement to the nanopores.
