Abstract: Tailored synthesis of mixed ionic-electronic conducting materials is one of the most important tasks for design of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell cathodes [1,2] requiring application of new synthesis procedures. This work presents results of synthesis of nanocomposites comprised of La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSM) or La0.8Sr0.2Fe1-xNixO3-δ (x=0.1- 0.4) (LSFNx) perovskites and Sc0.1Ce0.01Zr0.89O2-x(ScCeSZ) or Ce0.9Gd0.1O2-δ (GDC) fluorites via ultrasonic dispersion of powders in organic solvents along with detailed characterization of their structural and transport properties as well as testing in a button-size fuel cell with wet H2/air feeds.
