Abstract: Silicalite-1 nanocrystals and zeolite β microcrystals, as well as their composites were synthesized by the deposition of silicalite-1 nanocrystals on zeolite β crystals with the subsequent hydrothermal treatment for final shell crystallization. The obtained materials were characterized by a set of physicochemical methods. The coating of zeolite β with an inert silicalite-1 shell leads to a decrease of microporosity and total acidity, as well as a disappearance of strong acid sites.
